File library

The managed file library helps authorized community teams organize reusable documents separately from files attached to tickets, comments, units, or payment evidence.

  1. Open Files.
  2. Choose the appropriate collection, or create one with a clear name.
  3. Upload the file and wait for the upload to complete.
  4. Add a useful label, description, and tags where available.

Use collections for durable groupings such as Policies, Meeting minutes, Forms, or Maintenance records. Avoid creating a new collection for every individual file.

Downloads are checked against the current member’s permissions. A link may expire or stop working after access changes; return to Avelden and request a new download instead of forwarding an old link.

Existing library files can be connected to supported records such as tickets, comments, or units. Attaching creates context without requiring another upload. Detaching removes that relationship but does not necessarily delete the source file.

Use selection controls to move several files to a collection or request a bulk download. Large bulk downloads may be prepared as a background job before they are ready.

Deleting a library file moves it to Trash. Restore it from Trash if it was deleted accidentally. Review a file’s contexts before deleting it so you understand where it is used.
