Community settings

Open Settings from the community menu. The sections you see depend on your role.

Keep the community name and contact details current. Administrators and the community owner may also see closure controls. Community closure is a significant lifecycle action—review the preview and consequences before requesting it.

Invite people, review pending invitations, and maintain community roles. See Manage members.

Forums define where discussion topics are organized. Create clear, durable categories such as Announcements, General discussion, or Maintenance updates. Tags provide another way to classify units and records; agree on names before creating similar duplicates.

Authorized billing users can connect or update the community’s Stripe payout account and review onboarding or payout readiness. They can also allow residents to submit bank-transfer details for staff review.

Bank-transfer submissions remain pending and do not reduce an invoice balance until an authorized reviewer approves them.

Administrators or billing users with subscription access can review the community’s Avelden subscription, billing portal, invoices, usage, and storage add-ons. Subscription billing pays for Avelden itself; resident assessment billing is managed separately.
